Guest MOLLY
Last year, i heard some god awfull noise ive never heard before, i thought it must be a leveret knocked down and in the ditch. Told Khan to find, his head disapeared into the long grass and he lifted out a frog The look on his face was priceless, cross between surprise and disgust......i never knew frogs made such a noise, it stayed at my house till the late snow passed then went back to the pond nearby. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Once had one of my Bull 'n Terriers lunge into a little clump of brambles and haul out a hedgehog. I took it home for a few days observation. Perfectly unharmed so I let it go again. Quote Link to post
bshadle 5
Not with a dog, but... Fishing for bluefish from a jetty in Florida. Cigar minnow rigged on a 6-0 multi-hook set. Cast it out, and a seagull swooped down and snatched it out of the air in its bill. Got to the end of the line, and when it pulled tight the hook set in the skin at the base of its bill. Never played a seagull on a line before (or since), but managed to reel it in, then hold it down while I got the hook out of its bill. The thing near beat me to death with its wings until I got 'em folded up and a good hold on it. Hope I never catch another one. Quote Link to post

OldTrapCollector 377
I was walking my little collie/whip one day on some water meadows near my home when she stopped, lifted her ears and concentrated on something in the middle distance. Not seeing anything and not doubting the dog I told her to 'get on' and she started off, galloping at first and then head down and running hard. She ran out to about 300 yards and then there was an almighty somersault, a pause, and then she started trotting back towards me, obviously carrying her prize. I don't know who was more surprised when she got back - me, her or the schoolboy owner of the remote control car that she had captured . . . OTC Quote Link to post

Mars 42
Years back i was working over in the ilse of white, whilst waiting in portsmouth harbour i decided to walk my terrier around the car park to empty out. Walking past a bush in full view of all the other cars waiting to catch the ferry the terrier darted into the bush and came out with a Crow. He then proceeded to rag it like feck n would`nt let me take it from him. so their i was chasing the mutt with feathers flying everywhere in front of a load of people waiting to catch the ferry Mars. BRAN 0
When I was a lot younger, I was carted off to the states for the summer to "get away from the conflict in Northern Ireland", marooned up in washington state, pining for lurchers, ferrets, I discovered that my host's owned a pampered ridegback. One day I asked to take him a walk, cut through some local backwoods where I stumbled upon a porcupine, so I slipped the ridgeback after a few barks, the porcupine reversed slam bang into the dog, it cost the hosts 400 dollars in vet's bills The owners couldn't understand how a porcupine would be that close to suburbia  Little did they know, ten minutes before the c**t had stashed on me - on a coyote Quote Link to post
